Our Story
Uganda, officially the Republic of Uganda, is a landlocked country in East-Central Africa. It is bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, and Tanzania. Despite being landlocked, Uganda is blessed with rich water resources including Lake Victoria — Africa's largest lake.
The country straddles the equator yet enjoys a temperate climate due to its elevation. Uganda has been called "the Pearl of Africa" — a phrase first coined by Winston Churchill in 1908 — thanks to its extraordinary natural beauty, fertile land, and diverse wildlife.
With a population of over 45 million across more than 50 ethnic groups, Uganda is a tapestry of languages, traditions, and cultural expressions that make it one of Africa's most fascinating nations.
